Since 1977 Leith and Midge Murray, along with their daughter Leah, have been operating Murray’s Poultry Farm Inc. in Spring Valley, PEI.

The Murray’s have 75,000 birds which provide them with fresh eggs daily. They grow their own replacement pullets as well as make their own feed on the farm from local grain. Their eggs go to Omegga Holdings for grading and processing before they are sold in stores.

In an effort to improve the farm’s environmental impact, in 2012,they put in a large solar panel to help with energy efficiency and they are pleased with the results.

The Murray’s sit on the Egg Farmers of Canada board representing PEI and are members of the PEI Egg Board.
