The PEIFA is offering courses through Island First Aid Services for $70+hst. The courses are 2 days in length and are good for 3 years. If you have several people needing training in your workplace courses can also be arranged at the farm for a minimum of 8 people. Federation of Agriculture offering Forklift Training through the FCC AgSafety Fund
The PEIFA has received funding for forklift safety training through the Farm Credit Canada AgSafety Fund administered through the Canadian Agricultural Safety Association. This training is open to farm employees needing recertification as well as those who may be entering into employment in the agriculture sector.
Courses will be held across the Island and can he hosted at the farm. This training is being offered at a discounted rate of $20 per person. Space is limited.

Maritime Electric is offering electrical safety presentations to better educate Islanders on the importance of electrical safety at home and at the workplace. Presentations can be booked for your staff or organization through Maritime Electric at the link below:
The PEI Federation of Agriculture is partnering with Skills PEI to offer Class 3A driver license training to farmers,farm employees, or anyone looking to enter the agriculture industry.
The course will be 3 weeks in duration, and to be eligible you must be:
- EI eligible;
- Or Currently in receipt of Employment Insurance
The course will be offered through JVI, starting every 3 weeks.

Hazard and Risk Assessment Workshops
The Federation of Agriculture in partnership with the Workers Compensation Board and CASA will be offering Hazard and Risk Assessment workshops throughout the year. The workshops will give insight on how to prevent injury and accidents on the farm by learning how to properly identify hazards and risks, and develop and implement a plan to keep safe and avoid accidents.
