GETTING RE-EVALUATION DONE RIGHT – THE FIRST TIME
One of the many “consultations” that the Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) sent out this year has to do with changing the process for re-evaluations of pesticides. On the surface, that is a laudable thing as the current process leaves a lot to be desired. It amused me that even such a consultation on change missed an opportunity to actually try to make some change by getting stakeholder input BEFORE producing the position paper.
