Joel and Amy Van Gurp along with their three children Grace, Rose and Reuben moved to the Island and bought a pig farm in January 2015. Their farm Pure Pork Farms is located near Mt. Albion and is a farrow to partly finish operation. They are passionate about continually implementing innovative efficiencies that are redefining the health, genetic and operational benchmarks of their farm. They are actively certifying their farm for programs that promote Canadian Pork locally and internationally as well as environmental stewardship. Joel and Amy love living on P.E.I and appreciate the warm welcome as well the community of the Island. They look forward to continually growing their business and being more involved with the Island community, their church and Immanuel Christian School.
