Andrew Lawless, pictured here with his wife Heidi and their three children Vance, Max and Maeve, farm in Kinkora, Prince Edward Island. Andrew has been farming for 15 years. The past few years he has spent working in partnership with R & L Farms which is operated by Andrew, Peter Roberts, Gerry Roberts and Austin Roberts. The farm focuses mainly on growing top quality potatoes for processing. They diligently maintain a three-year crop rotation with barley or wheat followed by hay. The majority of the hay crop is mulched down for green manure. Andrew is a current participant in the Ag Leadership Program. R&L Farms keeps up to date with best environmental farm practices as outlined in their Environmental Farm Plan.
