It’s the collaboration and access to useful data that entices Daryl Wilkie to participate in the Atlantic Grains Council and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s Yield Enhancement Network (YEN). On their grain and cranberry farm in Alberton, the Wilkie family have benefited from the advice and healthy competition the YEN program provides to maximize the farmer’s investment. Daryl farms with his father, siblings and son: Garth, Marla, Grant and Matthew.

The Faces of Farming calendar is published by the PEI Federation of Agriculture to connects Islanders with the individuals and families who grow their food, and provide a window into an industry vital to the Island economy, environment and communities.
