Charles and Wilhelmena Murphy, along with sons Randy and Francis and their families, own and operate their farm, which is located southeast of Charlottetown in China Point, PEI. They grow seed potatoes for various markets and sell to the table and processing markets as well. Rotational crops include seed wheat for the Eastern Canadian market and IP soybeans. Meticulous crop management practices and high quality control standards are what enables them to offer premium products to their customers. The Murphy family have been growing potatoes in PEI since their arrival from Ireland in the early 1800’s. Charles, Wilhelmena, Randy and Francis represent the sixth and seventh generation of Murphy farmers; each of them contributes vastly to the continuous progression of their farming business.
