Patrick and Lisa Murray, along with Patrick’s parents, Dale & Earlene, operate D & E Pork, a hog operation in Albany, Prince Edward Island. Both Patrick and Lisa studied agriculture at the former Nova Scotia Agriculture College in Truro, Nova Scotia. Upon graduating in 2009 they welcomed the opportunity to work with the family business. This 2nd generation hog farm is quite diversified. In addition to attending to the 1250 sows, they also grow potatoes, corn, barley and wheat. Operating the farm this way allows the Murrays to raise their pigs from farrow to finish while supplying some of their own feed.
