A hardy breed whose size allows for better handling made Belted Galloways the right cattle to incorporate into the grain operation at Barnyard Organics in Freetown. With the goal to enhance soil health that will eventually pay off in crop yields, Sally Bernard uses rotational grazing to keep the herd moving and spreading nutrients across future cropping acres.
